Why do I do it? Partly, I paint interior feelings or visions. If I can express them on canvas, I often can understand them better, and they may lose their sting. Several of the paintings refer to experiences with Alzheimer's dementia, schizophrenia, and depression. Most portraits bring me joy.
These paintings were made through several decades, with emphasis on more recent ones. They are all in oil on acrylic, on canvas — except as noted by * for canvas-board or by # for wood. Dimensions are in inches. (A ^ indicates homage to Rodin.)
